Welcome!

Finding the right therapist can be challenging and labor-intensive. There's so many factors to consider such as therapeutic style, interventions, scheduling, and insurance. Here are some facts about me and how I work to help you in your process if choosing a therapist. Please reach out with any other questions and I'm happy to answer them. If we connect and decide I'm not the best fit for your needs, I'm happy to suggest colleagues who would better fit your needs.

My Background and Approach

I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 2011 and have worked in many different settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, residential facilities, and private practice. I have experience not only as a clinician but also as a supervisor for student and master's level therapists collecting hours toward licensure and manager for clinical services associated with the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health.

My approach to therapy involves meeting the client where they're at. If you come to therapy with a strong idea of what you want to achieve and what interventions have worked in the past, I'm happy to work with you to continue your journey toward your goals. If you've never been in therapy before and aren't quite sure what you're looking for, I'm happy to help you explore this and work in the way you feel most comfortable.

My style is helpful and supportive but also authentic. I believe in bringing my whole self to my therapy sessions, not just the soft-spoken, "how does that make you feel" therapist character you might see on TV. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to process feelings and experiences but I'll also call you on your bullshit if that's what's helpful in getting you to where you want to be.

The bottom line is that therapy is a partnership. Communication is key on both ends. If I'm not working in a way that's helpful to you, I'm always happy to discuss it. And I won't keep you in the dark with what I'm thinking, either.

Reach out and let's talk if this sounds like the therapy you're looking for!
